The dynamic of you and I are pretty simple. We are each other's keeper. We are the identity of shared care for one another. There is understanding in familiarity. Our embedded bravado is hereditary. To consent to each other would be unjustified. The justification is instilled in fighting together.
Blindly, I have various brothers. Visibly, my Brothers and I do not share the same mother. No biggie, sit tight, it will all come together. If your responsibility is to protect your wife/significant other, you are a Brother to me. If your children call you Daddy, you are Brother to me. If your family and friends refer to you as nephew, uncle, and/or bruh, you are a Brother to me.
The defined examples neither included color, class, nor creed. My Brother there is so much to uncover. Please allow me to proceed. The makeup of man is the equivalent perception of stability. To lead a family and project a positive image, a man must conceptualize the anticipated responsibilities:
1. Love yourself.
2. Love everybody else.
I know what you all are thinking. "Hello, Mr. Know-it-all, where is God in the man's responsibilities? " My reply, My Brother, for me God is my connection to my spirituality. That is what works for me. In understanding, every man should be allowed to believe in what works for him. If that happens to be Allah, and it betters their being, it is cool with me.
The sensitivity stuff is a misconception. How can a man lead, protect, and provide without sensitivity? I would wait for an answer, yet I am positive there is no need. Tradition claims men should not cry. Alternatively, every man's heart bleeds.
My Brother, I ask that we come together and revitalize a forsaken actuality. Regardless of the circumstance, a Brother will take up for a Brother. Do not believe me, go knock that ice cream cone out my little Brother's hand. Exactly, Brothers stand together in slacks and Aldos, fatigues and combat boots, joggers and Jordans, and even in skinny jeans.
It is time to be okay with crying. Hurt is hurt. If it is felt, you cannot fool youself. Tears are meaningful if not why do they appear?
It is time to set the example for our daughters and sons. It is time to respect women and demolish the bias of societial equality.
It is time to stop blaming your white neighbor for slavery. That was 150 years ago, he or she was born into a culture. Similar to all, they are not responsible for their culture's past.
It is time to cease the continual manifestation of generational hatred. It is time to stop indicting gold teeth and black skin. Culture is diverse in nature which defines the beauty within. Familiarity does not portray identical. Familiarity addresses similar.
It is time to sit down and talk and/or mind our own business with cultures we may not understand. It is time to let the conviction of an individual's transgressions be one's own, and not the defining entity of every individual in his or her culture. It is time to do it together. It is time to Love each other. It is time to stand.
The clock is ticking. The time is now. I relay this a prelude to the alternative. I Love you, Brother. I hope I did not ask too much. The reflection of overcoming portrays us.
#LOVE #DLR 🤙🏾
