Contrary to popular belief, no one dies for you. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did not die for me. He lived for equality, justice, and peace. Dr. King dies when I forget the above sentiment. We can replace the proper noun (Dr. King) in the above sentiment with various entities, the outcome remains.

Muhammad Ali Blessings, DLR Over there, it is in view. Calling my name. I hear it, too. I am walking to it. Just a minute, I will be there in a few. Grab my hand. I will guide you through.
Say that, Dr. King, "I may not get there with you. But I want you to know tonight, that we, as a people, will get to the promised land." Blessings, DLR The delivery of a speech, presentation, and/or prepared diction can be impactful. With profound tone and insatiable conviction, the receiver is immersed into self-conception. The paradigm is a receptive reception of believing the speaker possess intrinsic emulation. The understanding of we both can go places.
I have experienced these expressed sentiments on precious occasions. None more essential to when I intially heard "Drum Major Instinct." There is an underlining message in the referenced sermon/speech. It tap dances on the soul and twists inside. Holding the receiver accountable to the wonders of his or her mind. I can hear his voice. It paralyzes the room. His baritone clouds the aura like freshly sprayed cologne. It chokes up an emotional storm. With conviction and unwavering faith, Dr. King relays, "I believe that unarmed truth and unconditional love will have the final word." In recognition, believing is contagious when it is received. The Drum Major serves the band. Love leads. Blessings, DLR With humble gratitude, I submit a transcending and heartfelt Happy Birthday to you. Your example and voice stills projects today in the mind and soul of all those privileged to have witnessed it years ago, and those privy to it today. The example of a true Drum Major. You walked, led, and fulfilled a cemented conviction of Love to all humanity. A conviction solidified and unbiased within a collective unification. Your dream woke the world up to the possibilities of equality. Your dream opened the mind to a conscious reality. The reality that we all have the right to dream. We all can encompass unwavering belief. A dream that relayed a nation's reflective actuality.
Happy Birthday, Dr. King!! Blessings, DLR |
