For example, my daughter may walk up to me in the middle of the day and simply state, "Daddy, I Love you." For instance, my son may come in from playing basketball and effortlessly state, "Thanks, Da...I appreciate it." In addiction, before I leave the house I may be blessed with a hug. In these presented examples, I have found myself to be guilty of questioning the reasoning for each unexpected pleasantry. However, the innocence resounds in the moment.
I will not attempt to explain the joy which comes with innocence. Alternatively, I will warn against the validation of unwarranted guilt. The innocence of a child is revered because it is an untainted truth. I am grateful for my children. When doubt may consume me, I find purpose in their truth.
Blessings,
